This month we have had a couple of weeks off for a holiday in Derbyshire. It was nice to recharge the batteries and spend time in a beautiful garden.
Sometimes doing nothing is just what we need and yet I found myself feeling guilty for not 'doing', It can be really difficult to let ourselves just 'be' which of course is something that we learn to practice during mindfulness.
This is one of the things we touch upon during our monthly guided meditation group sessions.
Every little thing we do for ourselves can help us to learn to give ourselves a break and just 'be'.
So our next session of drumming and meditation has fallen on mothers day, March 27th.
Drumming is another great way to help switch off the brain and guide ourselves into a more relaxed state. It induces alpha waves in the brain which give us a natural high and help us to feel calmer.
It is also good fun and can be a deeply spiritual experience.
Last month we sent out healing vibes during both our group sessions. It is a way to connect to yourself, to feel good and find out who you really are.
